<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an integration degree in a linear motor system, consisting of a linear motor subsystem which is connectable to an electronic converter subsystem by an energy storing subsystem. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic converter subsystem 26 is connected to an energy source 10 through a selector switch 28. The electronic converter subsystem comprises a reversible power converter. At operation, the selector switch 28 first connects the energy source 10 to the electronic converter subsystem 26 for charging at least one energy store device in the energy store subsystem 14, and then connects the electronic converter subsystem to the linear motor subsystem 18, to supply power from the energy store subsystem 14 to the linear motor subsystem.
