<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficiency rotary electric machine being manufactured by a simple process, and also to provide its manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: A winding 30 of specified shape is formed by winding the specified number of turns of a flat type conductor wire around a winding preform jig. Cross-sectional shape of the winding 30 coincides with the cross-sectional shape of the slot in a stator core for inserting the winding 30.
