<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel storage device for a vehicle for preventing a phenomenon that fuel cannot be supplied to an engine, since the vehicle is positioned on a ramp or the like and fuel inside a fuel tank is inclined to one side, in a state that fuel is not sufficiently stored in the fuel tank. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel storage device for the vehicle comprises the fuel tank in which fuel is stored; an inclination sensor provided in the fuel tank for sensing the inclined state of the fuel tank; air bags provided at both sides inside the fuel tank respectively, and capable of varying a storage capacity of the fuel tank by expanding and contracting action; an air pump for generating pneumatic pressure to be supplied to the air bags; a valve means capable of supplying the pneumatic pressure from the air pump to the air bags and releasing the pneumatic pressure of the air bags to the atmosphere; and a controller for controlling the valve means and the air pump in accordance with a signal of the inclination sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
