PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively collect ink mist by a small space and a small suction force by improving the collection efficiency of the ink mist which is allowed to flow by a displacement of a cable connected to a carriage. SOLUTION: A sucking device 30 is provided to a portion at the rear side of a scanning region of the carriage 14 and near a maintenance device 26 rather than a connection section M of a flat cable 28 connected to a body of an inkjet printer 10. The ink mist which is influenced by an air flow generated when the flat cable 28 is sagged toward the scanning region and then tensioned is sucked to be collected by the sucking device 30. As a result, the ink mist can be efficiently collected without providing a large sucking device 30 or a plurality of small sucking devices 30 so that the whole body of the inkjet printer can be reduced in size and increasing of the cost or the power consumption can be suppressed.
