PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus whereby a transmission destination is easily confirmed before making a call or faxing a document, only telephone numbers related to a user are utilized as confirmed objects, and which can be customized by each user. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is provided with: a telephone number storage section 104 for storing at least one telephone number; an entry processing section 101 whereby the user enters a telephone number; a searching section 103 for searching whether or not the telephone number entered from the entry processing section 101 exists in the telephone numbers stored in the telephone number storage section 104, and an output section 106 for outputting a searching result of the searching section 103.
