PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "audio circuit" capable of eliminating the damage of a speaker at the time of large volume, and outputting a sound of the same force when the sound is distorted by a power amplifier. SOLUTION: The audio circuit is provided with a distortion providing section for distorting an audio signal equal to or more than a level L<SB>H</SB>corresponding to the dynamic range of the power amplifier and a range being a little smaller than this range; and an input circuit for applying predetermined control to an audio signal output from the distortion providing section, and inputting the controlled signal into the power amplifier. The distortion providing section is provided with an amplifying means of an amplification degree A for amplifying the audio signal, a distortion generating means for generating distortion for the audio signal at not less than level A×L<SB>H</SB>, and an attenuating means for attenuating the input signal level into 1/A.
