摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fine particle for an electrode catalyst from which a thin film having excellent uniformity and strength can be obtained as the electrode catalyst even when the fine particle is used for molding the thin film and which can keep high activity over a long period of time since a metallic particle is dispersed too highly on a carrier to accelerate particle growth easily even when the fine particle is used as the electrode catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This fine particle for the electrode catalyst has 10 nm to 10 &mu;m average particle size and is obtained by depositing the metallic particle on a carrier particle. A potential difference (the absolute value of (II)-(I)) between the flow potential (I) of a dispersion liquid obtained by dispersing the metallic particle of 1 wt.% concentration in water at pH 3-8 and the flow potential (II) of another dispersion liquid obtained by dispersing the carrier particle of 1 wt.% concentration in water at pH 4-10 is in the range of 10-3,000 mV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
