PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery without liquid leakage from an absorption sheet 206 because of high speed of absorbing electrolyte solution. SOLUTION: In arranging an absorption body of the electrolyte solution around a protrusion 13 consisting of a positive electrode protruded at a bottom face of the battery, a cutting plane is formed on the absorption sheet 51 with a plurality of notches or punchings to increase a surface area. That increases the speed of absorption, and there will be less electrolyte solution leaking from a secondary battery. It is more convenient if a protrusion 42 is formed on a rear face to fit it into a recess, since that will further increase the surface area as well as the volume. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
