PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine a circuit shut-off function and an explosion-proof function, reduce a unit price and improve safety and durability in a safety mechanism for preventing temperature increase and explosion of the battery case by shutting off a circuit in the battery case and forming an air hole in a part of the battery case when the pressure in a closed type secondary battery increases over a regulating value of the safety due to some abnormal event. SOLUTION: In a developed circuit shut-off mechanism, a bonding plate is joined to a shock plate 1 with the bonding strength according to circuit shut-off regulating pressure so that the circuit in the battery is shut off when the internal pressure raises up to the circuit shut-off regulating value. The safety mechanism shows its circuit shut-off function and the explosion-proof function simultaneously when the circuit shut-off regulating pressure is the same as the explosion-proof regulating pressure.
