PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal in which the setting of activation/nonactivation of a function interlocked with a movable mechanism of a housing can be switched conveniently depending on an operating condition. SOLUTION: When a specified key at an operating section 15 is depressed (operated) by a user (step ST10), a control circuit 17 takes out data of a call termination record list from a memory 16 and presents them at a display section 14 (step ST20). One call termination record data are selected among the data on the call termination record list presented by the user (step ST30) and when a portable telephone is opened by the user (step ST40), the movable mechanism operation detecting section of the portable telephone detects an open state and delivers a corresponding detection signal to the control circuit 17. Furthermore, when a side key is depressed (step ST42), the control circuit 17 suspends (cancels) the execution of a specific function (calling operation) interlocked with the opening operation.
