PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous body which does not spoil the original functions of a porous material and is excellent in permeability, scratch resistance etc., in relation to a substrate having a delicate surface, a member, etc., and a method for producing the porous body. SOLUTION: The porous body 1 has a porous substrate 11 made of aluminum etc., and a polymer film 12 which is arranged in at least one part of the opening surface of the porous substrate 11 and has a through hole 13. The polymer film is a cured film formed from a photosensitive resin composition. The method for producing the porous body includes a composite manufacturing process in which a film of the photosensitive resin composition is formed in at least one part of the opening surface of the porous substrate to obtain a composite, an exposure process in which a mask having a prescribed pattern is arranged on the film and exposed to obtain the cured film, and a development process in which the mask is removed and subjected to development to form the through hole in the cured film.
