PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide not only a sludge digester for digesting sludge in a septic tank or digesting and eliminating excess sludge using Baster bacillus but also a system for charging a definite amount of Baster bacillus in the septic tank within a definite period to reduce the sludge in the septic tank while reducing the maintenance/management cost of the septic tank. SOLUTION: Baster bacillus live together with other normal temperature bacillus to digest sludge. Thereafter, the sludge is treated by the function of a usual septic tank but digestion efficiency is increased in its cleaning capacity by the symbiotic and cooperative work of Baster bacillus and normal temperature bacillus, and the digestion of sludge is rapidly advanced not only to sharply reduce the amount of excess sludge but also to stabilize water quality. Further, the sludge digester is once charged in an amount of 300 cc per three months in order to digest excess sludge or to prevent the occurrence of sludge to obtain the same effect.
