PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusion cage designed to be embedded in a vertebral structure by the approach from the belly side. SOLUTION: The fusion cage 20 for fusing a belly side vertebral body, has a conical shape and round-shaped tip part. A screw 40 is formed as a part of a conical outside surface of the fusion cage. One or more vertical grooves 42 for improving tapping capacity of the fusion cage, are formed in this screw. A plurality of holes 54 are fomred by penetrating through the fusion cage for providing contact between an engaged vertebral structure and a substance for inducing growth of bones packed in this fusion cage. This fusion cage is introduced by treatment from the belly side, and maintains or increases a curve between the adjacent vertebral structures. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
