PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair capable of reducing the effort for a person to dismount from the wheelchair as much as possible. SOLUTION: The wheelchair has a step 6 which is automatically turned in the horizontal direction outward with the spring force. The step 6 is mounted on a rotating member 23, which is mounted on a support member 22 in such a way that it can be turned in the horizontal direction relative to the support member 22. The rotating member 23 comprises a push button 32 for pressing down an engagement pawl and a push pin for pressing the rotating member 23 to be removed from the support member 22.
