PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which controls an airflow associated with scanning of a carriage when the carriage performs scanning, and which can enhance image quality by stabilizing a jet of a liquid from a liquid jet head. SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatuses 100 and 100a are provided with the liquid jet heads 7 and 8 for ejecting the liquid to a recording medium 6, the carriage 1 wherein the liquid jet heads 7 and 8 are provided on a recording medium facing surface which faces the recording medium, and moving means 2 and 3 for relatively moving the carriage 1 and the recording medium 6. The liquid jet apparatuses 100 and 100a are characterized in that in the carriage 1, an airflow abutting surface S1 and the like, on which the airflow abuts in the movement of the carriage 1, are provided with a wind force control means 99b for controlling the airflow associated with the movement of the carriage 1, and the like.
