PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber suitable for giving a culture material good in seaweed adhesion and root taking, high in durability and suitably usable even at sites in severe wave conditions, and to provide a seaweed culture net using the fiber. SOLUTION: The fiber constitutes a seaweed culture material, consisting of a polyamide containing a modified polyvinyl alcohol resin. The seaweed culture net is constituted of the fiber.
