<p>The safety operating method has the opening of the fuel tank cover and/or the fuel cap (4) prevented while the stationary heater (3) is in operation, their opening only permitted after the stationary heater is switched off, with subsequent operation of the stationary heater prevented while the fuel tank cover and/or the fuel cap remains open, the switching-in of the stationary heater providing automatic locking of the fuel tank cover and/or the fuel cap. An independent claim for a safety device for a stationary heater in an automobile is also included.</p> |
