<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the weight of a necessary part, leave a design freedom degree of the shape of a golf club head of a part easily visible from the outside and remove an excessive thickness. <P>SOLUTION: This iron club head is provided with a head body 12 having a face 10 and a cavity in the back side of the face, and a weight adjusting body 14 formed of a metal material having a specific gravity larger than that of the head body forming material. The weight adjusting body comprising a single or a plurality of elements is so formed that a part of a cross section, or a plane orthogonally crossing with the front/back direction which connects a toe side to a heel side is positioned in the lower end in the back side of the sole of the iron club head; the wall thickness in the crosswise direction orthogonally crossing with the front/back direction is changed to large/small in the front/back direction; the back side is smoothly and continuously formed to the head body; the face side is recessed/projected to form the large/small changes; and a face KB1 in the lower part of the cavity of the head body is recessedly/projectingly formed along the large/small changes of the wall thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
