<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-drilling anchor for a dry type wall to be fitted to a dry wall unit, a dray wall and a structural member, to which a heavy material can be installed. <P>SOLUTION: The self-drilling anchor for a fragile material fitted to a structural member is provided with a narrow and long body having a shaft, an axial hole for receiving a narrow and long fastener, a flange-like end part having a torque transmitting surface, a base part, an intermediate part, a tip part and a drill tip part usually arranged on a side opposite to the flange-like end part. The base part has a male screw having a root, thread diameter and thread height, and the intermediate part has a male screw having a root, thread diameter practically smaller than that of the base part and thread height practically lower than that of the base part, and the tip part has a male screw having a root tapered toward the drill tip, thread diameter practically smaller than that of the base part and thread height practically lower than that of the base part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
