<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low cost printed matter doubly printable on a printed pattern and printable by a single printing and excellent in antifalsifying effects under the condition that no specified image can not be visually recognized with gradation (difference in density) when being observed normal to a base material, the gradual change in the coloration and/or lightness and darkness of a specified image develops during the change of the observational direction from perpendicular one to horizontal one so as to make the visual recognition of the specified image with gradation (difference in density) possible and the visual recognition of the specified image with gradation (difference in density) can be possible at a shallow observational angle. <P>SOLUTION: In the printed matter, in which the specified image is formed on the base material by parallel line pattern printing area, the specified image is divided into N (N is at least 3) regions under the condition that the regions divided into N each are distributed to first parallel line pattern printing areas, second parallel line pattern printing areas, ... n-th parallel line pattern printing areas (n is at least 3). The first parallel line pattern printing area, the second parallel line pattern printing area, ... the n-th parallel line pattern printing area consist of parallel line pattern printing areas each having parallel directions different from one another, having the widths of printing areas different from one another, having pitches different from one another and having combinations of the direction, width and pitch.
