<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a low beam filament of a headlight for a motorcycle. <P>SOLUTION: Since when illuminance detected by an illuminance sensor 17 is a threshold vale or less (night time), normal control in which lighting of the headlight can be switched to a high beam state and a low beam state by operation of a dimmer switch 27 is performed, the high beam state and the low beam state can be arbitrary switched according to presence of an oncoming vehicle or the like. Since when illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor 17 is a threshold vale or more (day time), dimming control in which a control means lights the headlight in a high beam state with dimming, electrified time of the low beam filament 29 which has higher use frequency in night time and electrified time of the high beam filament 28 which has low use frequency are equalized. Lifetime of the low beam filament which is conventionally short can be extended and visibility can be increased by making an optical axis upward while preventing a driver of the oncoming vehicle from being dazzled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
