PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact fluorescent lamp having a single base with improved safety. SOLUTION: Scattering of broken glass pieces is prevented by covering an area ranging from an end part of the arc tube on the other side of the base to the base by a heat-shrinkable tube as shown in the figure.
