摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet fluorescence detecting device for detecting fluorescence from paper sheets by dividing it into lights whose wavelength ranges are different in simple configurations to accurately discriminate the authenticity of the paper sheets. SOLUTION: A paper money S on a UV detection face P is irradiated with ultraviolet rays from an LED 13 in a device 10. A light L1 in a red region among fluorescence emitted from the paper money S, and made to travel along a detection axial line Z is reflected on a dichroic mirror 19, and received by a photo-sensor 23. A light L2 in a green region among lights transmitted through the mirror 19 is reflected on a dichroic mirror 24, and received by a photo-sensor 28. A light L3 in a blue region transmitted through the mirror 24 is received by a photo-sensor 29. Thus, the mirrors 19 and 24 are arranged on the detection axial line Z so that the fluorescence from the paper money S can be divided into the three original colors of lights, and that the authenticity of the paper money S can be accurately executed based on the output signals of each photo-sensors 23, 28 and 29.
