PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigtailing machine and a method that secure an accurately formed double pigtail coil spring by making a double pigtail while cycle time is reduced and by minimizing damage. SOLUTION: The pigtailing machine 10 includes a B forming head 18 and a support pedestal 22 fixed to a cassette base 26. The cassette base 26 is arranged upon a base 20 which mounts the A forming head to provide for relatively quick changeover of another double pigtail coil spring need to be manufactured. By fixing the forming head and the support pedestal 22 to the cassette base 26, alignment and proper manufacture of the spring are assured.
