A method for heating and fixing an inking, particularly a toner powder on a plate-shaped support, and the inking applied to the coated upper side of the support is fixed on the support by heat action. This invention is to be able to fix and adhere well toner inkings on thick-walled supports. Thus, the coated upper side and/or the uncoated underside of the plate-shaped support is subjected to infrared radiation and/or a hot air stream and/or a microwave radiation.
