The weapon has an interchangable barrel (4), releasably secured to a system stage (1) of the weapon provided with a loading and firing mechanism so that it is coupled to a weapon channel (2) of the system stage. A plug-in connection (6,14,12) is used for securing the initial end (4.1) of the barrel to the system stage, with a device (7,10,13,15) for centring the barrel relative to the weapon channel and a device (11,12) for axially clamping the barrel relative to the system stage.
