<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein when a user opens a front door and works in order to conduct jamming processing, the rotation of a fixing roller stops, a fixing roller stops its rotation and an external heating roller abuts against the fixing roller, the fixing roller then locally receives heat from the external heating roller, to cause deterioration of the fixing roller. <P>SOLUTION: If the external heating roller is allowed to abut against the fixing roller, when a door is open, the supply of power to the heater incorporated in the external heat roller is turned off.
