<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor heating control method reflecting a P-jump delay time and oxygen sensor diagnostic indexes calculated based on the output voltage of an oxygen sensor on the heating control of the oxygen sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In this oxygen sensor heating control method for a vehicle engine, the lower limit values of heating factors are controlled based on the heating factors used in the heating control process of the oxygen sensor, the P-jump delay time and the oxygen sensor diagnostic indexes calculated based on the voltage of the oxygen sensor.
