METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT SHIELDING MULTICOLOR IMAGE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light shielding multicolor image sheet with a black matrix of high optical density by a self-alignment system.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the light shielding multicolor image sheet with the black matrix comprises a step of forming a pixel sheet by forming a group of pixels on a surface of a light transmissive sheetlike support; a step of coating the top face of each pixel of the pixel sheet and the gap area between the pixels with a photosensitive black resin layer having a specific composition; a step of curing at least a bottom part of the photosensitive black resin layer in the gap area between the pixels by irradiating the coated pixel sheet with light from the undersurface side of the light transmissive sheetlike support; a step of obtaining an image sheet by removing the black resin layer on the top face of each pixel while maintaining the solid state by bringing a developing solution of pH 8-14 into contact with the pixel sheet with the light irradiated photosensitive black resin layer; and a step of curing the uncured part of the black resin layer between the pixels by heating the image sheet.
