<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tail gate device capable of effectively preventing occurrence of noise while reducing thickness of a gear as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: This power tail gate device opens and closes an opening in a rear part of a vehicle body automatically by swinging a tail gate by driving force of a driving means. This device is provided with a pair of gears meshing mutually on a transmission path of driving force to the tail gate from the driving means.
