摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving a capacitive light emitting element which can be miniaturized, which can improve reliability, and which can reduce power consumption, while suppressing the amount of heat generated. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a plurality of charge collection switches which individually send out the current associated with a charge stored in a capacitor to a plurality of drive electrodes, respectively connected to the capacitive light emitting elements and which individually supply the currents associated with the charges stored in the capacitive light-emitting elements to the capacitor via the electrodes; and a plurality of output buffers which apply the voltage corresponding to pixel data to the drive electrodes, respectively. For each of the drive electrodes, it is detected whether the voltage on the driving electrode transitions from the high voltage to the low voltage or from the low voltage to the high voltage, on the basis of the pixel data. The charge collection switch, that corresponds to the driving electrode on which the voltage transition arises, is set at on-state over a specified period of time.
