PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracks and breakages in a panel unit due to stress application by heat generation of a plasma display. SOLUTION: A method for applying heat spreaders to a plurality of plasma display panels includes a step of providing a plurality of heat spreader composites each comprising a heat spreader material having an adhesive positioned thereon so as to be sandwiched between the heat spreader material and a release material, a step of removing the release materials from the plurality of heat spreader composites, and a step of applying at least one of the heat spreader composites to each of a plurality of plasma display panels such that the adhesive adheres the heat spreader material to the plasma display panel.
