PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving apparatus which facilitates the realization of an excellent precision and is easily assembled, and to provide portable equipment with a camera. SOLUTION: The lens driving apparatus 1 comprises a moving lens body 10 having a lens 12, a driving mechanism which moves a moving lens body 10 along the optical axis F direction of the lens 12 and a case body 50 which houses the moving lens body 10 and a driving mechanism. The case body 50 is composed of at least a first case split body 60 and a second case split body 70, and is constituted so that the maximum radial part of the moving lens body 10 moves in the optical axis F direction through the inside of the first case split body 60. An opening protrusion part 60a of the first case split body 60 and an opening protrusion part 70a of the second case split body 70 are arranged so that the opening protrusion part 60a is located on the inside and the opening protrusion part 70a is located on the outside respectively. Therein, the amount of elastic deformation of the opening protrusion part 60a is made less than the amount of elastic deformation of the opening protrusion part 70a and, thereby, the opening protrusion part 70a is forced-fitted into the opening protrusion part 60a.
