<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy both good insertion and patency of a catheter with full dilation at the tip to the skin tissue and projection to the outer periphery. <P>SOLUTION: The double lumen catheter comprises a catheter main body 1 having a lumen for transporting blood formed up to the blood transport port opened at the tip and a lumen for removing blood formed up to the blood removing port opened near the tip, and a connection part 5 connected integrally on the base of the catheter main body and having connecting tubes 6a and 6b communicating with the blood transport lumen and blood removing lumen respectively. A step part is formed by cutting specified size of the tip of the wall 4 of the blood removing lumen on the catheter main body, and on the opening at the tip of the blood removing lumen, the edge of the step part , a protector 20 which is contacting along with the bottom 4c of the step which forms a partition from the blood transport lumen and tip of which can be shrunk and tilted is mounted, and a long hole extending in the direction of the axis which forms the blood remove port 3b is provided on both side of the back of the protector on the wall of the blood removing lumen respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
