PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light projector and a light receiver for a multi-optical-axis photoelectric sensor capable of surely keeping each light projecting/receiving sensor unit connected even if the temperature changes. SOLUTION: A displacement restricting member 400 comprises a protruded ridge 410 extended in a direction perpendicular to a connection direction on both-end-parts sides of a housing 111 side of the light projecting/receiving sensor units 110,210 and a fitting member 420 having a U-shaped cross section and fitted to an adjacent convex ridge 410 between the light projecting/receiving sensor units. A case 300 has a window part 302 extended in a connection direction of the light projecting/receiving sensor units 110,210 and opened by prescribed open width. The protruded ridge 410 of the sensor units 110, 210 is formed on a side face on the window part 302 side of the housing 111, and the fitting member 420 is fitted to the protruded ridge 410 from the window part 302 side. The length of the fitting member 420 is formed larger than the open width of the window part 302, and a space between the fitting member 420 and the opening edge of the window part 302 is set smaller than the fitting depth of the fitting member 420 to the protruded ridge 410.
