PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for an automotive heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy having excellent coating uniformity and adhesion of a coating material. SOLUTION: The apparatus for coating the surface of the heat exchanger made of the aluminum alloy assembled by brazing with a coating material prepared by mixing a flux component in an organic binder by means of a top feed type roll transfer system having at least three or more rolls comprises coating the member for the heat exchanger made of the aluminum alloy for brazing by determining the relations of the rotating directions of the transfer rolls of the coating apparatus arranged above the coating surface of an extruded member made of the aluminum alloy moving in a horizontal direction in such a manner that the rotating directions of the coated metallic roll for coating rotating in a direction reverse from the moving direction of the extruded member made of the aluminum alloy and the metallic roll for adjusting the coating weight of the coating material by coming into contact with the coated metallic roll for coating are set in the directions opposite to each other.
