PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mechanical seal mounting structure in which maintenance and check operation such as replacement of parts (a fixed ring and a movable ring) of the mechanical seal for sealing a pump shaft can be simply practiced in a minimal man-hour without disassembling the pump. SOLUTION: There is provided an electrical pumping system in which a multiple-stage type pump 1 is coupled to a driving motor 2 via a shaft joint 3 and further a pump flange 4 is intervened that double as a discharge chamber between the driving motor and a casing of an uppermost stage pump unit and then the mechanical seal 6 for sealing the pump shaft is arranged between the pump flange and the pump shaft penetrating the flange. In the electrical pumping system, a seal pressing plate 7 is mounted on a portion where the pump shaft penetrates the pump flange in a detachable manner by means of a fastening bolt 8. An overlapping face of the seal pressing plate and the pump flange is sealed by an O ring 9 and the mechanical seal 6 is mounted on and held to a predetermined position astride a portion between the seal pressing plate and the pump shaft. Then, when replacing parts of the mechanical seal, after detaching the driving motor, the joint, and the seal pressing plate from the pump flange 4, the mechanical seal is taken out of the pump shaft with the pimp 1 remaining intact.
