PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that can be suppressed in the variation of its characteristics in a band from a microwave band to a tera-hertz band, can be mounted easily, and can efficiently transmit high-frequency signals to a space or external circuit. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device 100 is provided with a substrate 1 having an n-type semiconductor layer 2A having a projecting stripe section 18 in its uppermost part; a signal line 5 which is formed on the substrate 1 and extended to pass through the upside of the projecting stripe section 18 of the n-type semiconductor layer 2A; and a grounding conductor 6 which is formed on the substrate 1, disposed separately from the signal line 5, and constitutes a transmission line together with the signal line 5. The device 100 is also provided with an oscillation element 15 constituted of the n-type semiconductor layer 2A, signal line 5, and grounding conductor 6; and a high-frequency utilizing circuit section 11 which is formed on the substrate 1 and connected to the signal line 5.
