PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler which can easily determine the writing positions of postcards such as an official and a private postcard, cards, envelopes and letter paper, while it is difficult to write an address, an addresser name and a text at their respective correct positions because of the absence of a clear indication of their entry positions. SOLUTION: This ruler has a cut-out part for drawing a reference line of an appropriate length at a best-suited position for the entry of an address, an addresser name and a text to the postcard, card, envelope and letter paper, formed on a synthetic resin plate. Thus it is possible to easily fill the address, addresser name and text positions in a well-arranged and straight writing manner by drawing the reference line with the help of the ruler and writing characters from right above the reference line.
