PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair washing apparatus with a function of treating hair or a scalp for eliminating the need for the movement of a treated person and a treatment person in the midst of a treatment by incorporating a hair or scalp treatment in the hair washing apparatus, arranging the incorporated hair washing apparatus at every process booth for the treatment, or moving the apparatus for arrangement. SOLUTION: The hair washing apparatus with the function of treating the hair and the scalp includes: a hood 14 which is attached to the opening part of a hair washing bowl 12 in a washing apparatus body 1 in a freely openable and closable manner and has an opening to which the head of the treated person is inserted; a steam discharge port 36 arranged in the hair washing bowl so as to supply overheated steam; and an overheated steam generating device 3 for generating the overheated steam.
