<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data erasing method of an optical disk, with which characteristic deterioration caused by heat is suppressed, and provide an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: The data erasing method of an optical disk for erasing data by irradiating an optical medium to be overwritten with a light sets first erasing power decided on the basis of a recording power learning result in the predetermined area of the optical disk and second erasing power lower compared with the first erasing power, executes recording in a space between marks by the first erasing power during normal data recording, and erasing data by using at least the second erasing power in erasing the data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
