PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operation part in a portable terminal device to work without any reduction in its visibility and operability even if the attitude of a portable terminal main body is changed. SOLUTION: This portable terminal device is provided with the portable terminal main body 1, a display part 2 for displaying information, and the operation part 3 having operation keys. The portable terminal device is provided with an attitude determination means 5 determining the attitude of the portable terminal main body 1. The portable terminal device is provided with a control means 4 changing a function allocated to each operation key in the operation part 3 according to the attitude of the portable terminal main body 1 determined by the attitude determination means 5.
