PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectroscope capable of miniaturization while maintaining high wavelength resolution of light. SOLUTION: In the spectroscope S1, inputted light is dispersed by a diffraction grating 17 formed in a slab type waveguide 12a. The spectroscope S1 is provided with a first channel waveguide 15 into which light dispersed by the diffraction grating 17 is entered to propagate, an oscillator 16 constituted of a waveguide arranged adjacently to the first channel waveguide 15, and a second channel waveguide 18 arranged in such a way as to sandwich the oscillator 16 in-between with the first channel waveguide 15 to extract light oscillated by the oscillator 16 to propagate.
