PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can always carry out high-definition image recording by absorbing a pressure variation of ink by a simple arrangement, and by preventing discharge failures of ink. SOLUTION: In inkjet heads 1, 1, etc. equipped with a head unit 21 which consists of inkjet head chips 7 and 7 with ink discharge openings at one end faces, manifolds 8 and 8 fitted at side parts of the inkjet head chips 7 and 7, and an enclosure frame 18 for storing the inkjet head chips 7 and 7 and manifolds 8 and 8, the manifolds 8 and 8 have ink inflow chambers 12 where the ink flows in, and ink feeding chambers 10 for supplying the ink flown in from the ink inflow chambers 12 to the ink head chips 7 and 7. The ink inflow chamber 12 and the ink feeding chamber 10 are separated by a filter 9. Moreover, at least a part of a side wall 11 of the ink inflow chamber 12 is constituted of a flexible film.
