PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal crusher capable of satisfactorily biting and crushing even a flat plate-like material to be crushed. SOLUTION: A crush board 6 which faces an outer circular locus A of crushing rings 5 externally fit to multiple rods 4 set on a circle of a same pitch between a pair of rotors 3 rotatingly driven around a horizontal main spindle 2, is overhangingly tilted toward the outer circular locus A of the crushing rings 5 at a position higher than the height position of the approximate shaft center of the main spindle 2 of the rotors 3. The biting angle of the material M to be crushed is made smaller by a tilting angle of the crushing board 6, thereby biting and crushing the material M even when the material M is a flat plate.
