The invention relates to an image processing module (1) comprising a control unit (5) and a processor (7). The control unit has access to a raw image data memory (9) and an image data memory (11). The control unit (5) and the processor (7) are interconnected in such a way that raw image data and/or image data can be transmitted to the processor by the control unit (5) while image data can be transmitted to the control unit (5) by the processor (7). The processor (7) encompasses an arithmetic unit (13) that is configured so as to perform one or several processing steps with the raw image data, and a dual-port RAM (31) with two respective addressing terminals and data terminals. The arithmetic unit (13) is configured to simultaneously receive raw image data via both data terminals of the dual-port RAM (31) and simultaneously perform the processing step/s with the raw image data, respectively.
