Methods, and uses thereof, for predicting and applying painting parameters so that predetermined painting responses are produced. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of preparing a painting parameter-response model, predetermining painting parameters to input the model, determining painting responses based the model and inputted parameters, and applying the parameters to the paint or painting equipment.
