The present invention provides a warning and protecting system supplied with solar energy for a water tank. Moreover, the system includes a device that provides a leakage warning system for closing the water flow to the tank. Said device comprises a sensor that is mounted in a predetermined position in the inner or outer portion of the tank. When the spilling sensor detects water, the solar energy device sends a radiofrequency signal to a warning panel located in the kitchen or bathroom of a housing or commerce, the panel emits a warning sound by means of a buzzer and an alert light is switched on, as an indication that a water leakage has been detected. The main controller simultaneously sends a signal by means of a wire to a solenoid valve or ball valve for the purpose of closing the water flow. When the water level decreases and the spilling sensor can no longer detect the presence of water, said sensor sends a signal to the main controller so as to restore and disconnect the light and the alert buzzer. In a simultaneous manner, the main controller sends a signal to the valve in order to be reopened, thereby allowing the water to flow back to the tank.
