<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the concentration or amount of toner in a developing part is accurately stabilized and satisfactory image quality can be maintained for a long term. <P>SOLUTION: A first amount of toner consumed from the developing part in order to form toner images and a second amount of toner consumed from the developing part apart from the formation of the toner images are calculated (S15).
