PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proportional device which decreases faulty wirings by wiring saving and is suitable for long-distance wiring. SOLUTION: The proportional devices 21A-21C are serially connected to a network controller 1 through a network line 22. The proportional devices 21A-21C are equipped with a proportional device control unit 32. The unit 32 controls a proportional device body 31 according to a digital serial signal transmitted by the network controller 1. The proportional devices 21A-21C are also equipped with a network functional unit 88 and a D/A conversion unit 89. The former encapsulates only a serial signal with its unique address. The latter transforms a digital parallel signal changed by the network functional unit 88 into an analog signal and outputs it at the proportional device control unit 32.
